It's been a long lovely Holiday for the Linfords. Cal had some time to sing and play at home in Star Valley and I was Christmas Caroling in Sun Valley Idaho. (Teton County Fair in Jackson Hole, Wyoming) Well, our summer concerts are nearly over. We most recently sang at a guest camp in the Bondurant wilderness up Jack Creek. It was pretty awesome and I'd love to take my family up there for a weekend to ride horses, sit in the sauna, clean off in the sluice shower and then sleep in a tee-pee. Whew! I'm going to try and give a quick update, It's our busy season at Dana Cold Storage and we've been buried in wild game. Literally :-) Cal and I had a couple of great last of summer shows. The Hayloft was a fun night, and although we sang in the upper loft, the sound carried down to all the tables on the lower level as well. We got a lot of great feedback about the whole experience.

The Star Valley Ranch end of season show was such a great time. There was a big happy crowd and everyone was 'loose' enough to stick around and dance. We thought we'd outlast them, but were proven wrong. The Ranch folks know how to party! The dance was a success! We came out fifty bucks ahead in the end and had a great night! Our cousin Kristy Anderson Mayes stayed with us for the weekend and we did several photo shoots. I had a fantastic couple of days in SLC and caught three great bands before heading back to the mountains. Here is beautiful Sublette County this summer. The rain has made the high plains deserts of Wyoming green and fresh. It made me want to saddle up and ride off through the sage brush. SINGING THIS WEEKENDHere is our write up for the Sublette County Fair. We are listed as "The Broken Spokes" because thats how we showcased last fall. We had a great Fourth of July weekend. It started plenty early with us singing "God Bless the USA" at the Thayne flag raising. The best part by far was the community singing Patriotic songs together, I remember every time I sang one as a kid and later on in my Glenn Miller shows. The Trail Center Show in Montepelier went fantastic. Cal and I had worked hard and to ensure there was someone there to witness it, Mom and Dad called up some friends and loaded them up for a night in Idaho. The Allinger Theatre inside the Trail Center is a hundred seat facility with great sound and an intimate feel. We loved playing a 90minute show there and really appreciate all the work Jodi

The Linfords just got booked for a show at the Allinger Theatre (The National Oregon/California Trail Center) in Montpelier Idaho on Friday, April 24, 2009. Cal and I have some sad news this week. Our Mom's brother Zed died after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family as his spirit left this life for it's journey into the next.
